M-2000 Sliding Glass Doors
M-2000 System Sliding Glass Doors are classed C-20 (C-30, HC40, and
HC45 available) and can be configured for a variety of thermal, accoustic
and wind-load requirements. Sizes and types shall be specified on production
drawings from size and type charts. M-2000 System Sliding Glass Doors
shall comply with all residential and commercial standards as defined
by ANSI/AAMA 101-93, utilizing standard 1-inch glass.
Material: Main frame and panel members shall be of extruded aluminum
alloy 6063-T5 with a minimum wall thickness of .062 inch and .078 inch
wall thickness in the sill (standard industrial tolerances). All frame
and panel members shall be thermally insulated with a polyurethane thermal-break
compound chemically and mechanically bonded to the divided aluminum extrusion.
Weather stripping shall meet or exceed AAMA 701.2 specifications.
Finish: Frame and panel members shall be medium bronze or white with
the exception of the frame sill, which shall be anodized. The finish
shall be an electrostatically applied baked-on enamel paint which meets
AAMA 603.8 specifications for pigmented organic finishes. Custom finishes
available.
Construction: Head, jamb & sill shall be coped lapped and fastened at
each corner with three #8 x 3/4" sheet metal screws (S.M.S.). Panel horizontal
members shall be telescoped into the vertical members and fastened with
two #8 3/4" S.M.S. Exterior screws shall be in accordance with AAMA 1303.5
Forced Entry Standards. The fixed panel shall be securely fastened to
the main frame. Meeting rails shall have a 7/8" interlock.
Weather Strip: Fixed meeting rail and moving-panel
bottom rail shall be dual weather stripped using a combination of silicone-treated
poly-pile
with a polypropylene fin. Fixed-panel bottom rail shall be dual weather
stripped with a specially designed vinyl, equal to AAMA 702-92. Frame
head, jamb and VersiJamb™ moving panel channel shall be dual weather
stripped with a slicone treated poly-pile. Balance of panel fixed channel
shall be sealed with a specially designed vinyl equal to AAMA 702-92.
Hardware: Pull and latch set shall be of sturdy construction and reversible
for installation on either side of door. The set shall be designed to
not damage the latch if the moving panel is closed with the latch in
the locking position, and shall mee AAMA Forced Entry Standards 1303.5.
Moving panel shall roll on adjustable, lubricated and sealed ball-bearing
tandem rollers which meet AAMA 906.3 Specifications for Aluminum Sliding
Glass Door Roller Assemblies. Custom hardware availalble.
Glazing: All doors shall be glazed with 1-inch insulated glass in accordance
with ANSi Z97-1975 & FS DD-G 1403B. Glass shall be secured and sealed
in the panel by a one-piece, Marine Boot golazing with welded corners.
Screens: (Optional) Available completely assembled and reversible for
OX or XO operation. Finish of screen door frame shall be medium bronze
or white.
Installation: Assemly and installation shall be done by others in accordance
with standard construction and industry practices. All mounting and assembly
screws shall be furnished with the door.
Performance-Accoustic: STC Ranging from 29 to 34 depending on glazing
system (ASTM E 90-84).
Reversible Sliding Glass Storm Doors
Versi Panel
Material: Main Frame and panel members are extruded
aluminum alloy 6063-T5. Screw fasteners are stainless steel or cadmium-plated
or zinc-plated per ASTM specifications A-164-71 or A-165-71.
Frame: The frame consists of a head, sill and jambs
designed for joining with two scres at each corner.
Panels: Corners of rolling panels are coped, lapped
and fastened with screws to form a weathertight joint. Both panels are
provided with sealed ball bearing wheels in the bottom rail. Panels are
easily adjustable after installation.
Weatherstripping: All pnels are double weatherstripped
to insure a tight seal and minimize air infiltration.
Hardware: Pull and latch set are sturdy, door locks
securely, and operates easily.
Finish: Doors are availalbe in white or medium bronze
pain and metalume finish.
Glazing: Panels may be glazed with 1/8", 3/16" or 5/8"
glass with glazing vinyl specified by purchaser. NOTE: Glazing must be
in accordance with ANSI Z-97-1 or safety glazing material.
Installation: Assembly and installation done by others.
Doors may be installed with mounting fin to the inside or outside depending
on the particular job. With panel arrangement as desired.
